Foot placement variables of pedestrians in community setting during curve walking

چکیده

There is no precise description of changes gait during curve walking. Research in walking exclusively performed clinical settings. Is there a difference foot placement variables between the inner- and outer leg natural environment? And are these differences correlated with time or curvature path? During this observational study, camera footage was shot on crossing where pedestrians were not aware being filmed. Participants (n = 21, male, 18–40 yrs) selected from video footage. Using software package “Movieprocessing”, kinematic (time, curvature, stride length, step width relative angle (RFA)) extracted collected data. A MANOVA Pearson correlation test to explore showed significant length leg. In contrast, inner (M 0.06, SD 0.05) 0.10, F(20,256) 3.577, p < .001) for width, 11.72, 7.99) 11.30, 8.07, 4.542, RFA found. both legs pooled (r .28, .01) .64, .01), as well (r= −.25, .213, .01). This research funds further conditions, since found be non-symmetrically determined by geometrics but choice. Foot change gradually differently curve.

Ambulatory estimation of foot placement during walking using inertial sensors.

This study proposes a method to assess foot placement during walking using an ambulatory measurement system consisting of orthopaedic sandals equipped with force/moment sensors and inertial sensors (accelerometers and gyroscopes). Two parameters, lateral foot placement (LFP) and stride length (SL), were estimated for each foot separately during walking with eyes open (EO), and with eyes closed ...

Long-term Measurement of Foot Placement during Walking Using Imus

MOTIVATION Foot placement and its variability can serve as indicators of mobility and walking ability as a function of age, injury, and disease in humans. Inertial measurement units (IMU) can potentially quantify foot motion without need for laboratorybased motion capture equipment, and for relatively long bouts of walking during daily living. One limitation is that integration of IMU data is s...

Foot placement relies on state estimation during visually guided walking.

As we walk, we must accurately place our feet to stabilize our motion and to navigate our environment. We must also achieve this accuracy despite imperfect sensory feedback and unexpected disturbances. In this study we tested whether the nervous system uses state estimation to beneficially combine sensory feedback with forward model predictions to compensate for these challenges. Specifically, ...

Foot placement in a body reference frame during walking and its relationship to hemiparetic walking performance.

BACKGROUND Foot placement during walking is closely linked to the body position, yet it is typically quantified relative to the other foot. The purpose of this study was to quantify foot placement patterns relative to body post-stroke and investigate its relationship to hemiparetic walking performance. METHODS Thirty-nine participants with hemiparesis walked on a split-belt treadmill at their...
